Sabse chota rupaiyya

Poor (pun intended) D Udaya Kumar, IIT Bombay Post Graduate now teaching at IIT Guwahati has got Rs 2.5 lakhs for designing a new identity for the Indian rupee. Any country with self respect and with values its currency as an engine of growth would have given him a minimum 100 times that amount for his creativity. It is sad that appreciation of talent in India has sunk to such a nadir. Day in and day out the media is full of IPL scams, Sharad Pawar scams, you-name-it scams … scams by people who have ripped the economy and laughed all the way to the bank! Viewed in this context, poor D Udaya Kumar has been shortchanged (pun intended). Sabse chota rupaiyya.
